".coop" used in TV Ad --Never seen this before

I saw a commercial today and for the first time the URL in the contact us portion of the ad featured a .coop extension:

cabotcheese.coop/

Have you ever seen this extension used in a TV ad before? :greenconfused:

I think it is a national ad to boot!

and BTW, the featured actor in the ad was Luis Guzman (from Carlito's Way and Boogie Nights).

What the F*** does he have to do with Wisconsin cheese?!?

In the bottom there is an E-mail address with same name under .com
Why do they bother with .coop
