CreditCard.net

I work in credit card affiliate site niche and this is a backup domain for my main site.
Please share your thoughts and input on this .net domain.

Thanks in advance :)

CreditCard.net... is a backup domain for my main site.
I'm wondering if CreditCard.net would be a better branding choice for your credit card services. Parking is OK, but seems the name is being underutilized.

"Credit Card" is in the top handful of possible keyword domains.
The .COM would be worth millions.

It is difficult to price but I would put it in the Mid - High $XX,XXX range and possibly higher to the right end user.

I'm not a fan of .net but this would be one of those exceptions. I think most people here are low balling a little bit. 100k no less.

Sadly if you develop this and brand it in a portal, a lot of traffic will flow to that other site, you know, the .com

Yes, but you're also saving about mid 7 figures in domain acquisition costs :)

Well, even if there is a 10% traffic bleed - 90% of a lot of money is still a lot of money.

Excellent name, top .net for sure. Id see what you could build it to ( revenue ) and sale based on that as oppose to big 5 figs to resellers.

Obviously much more to a card company. :)

This is a prize in top keyword searches and a self made SEO domain.

Reseller? Bah, screw that.

Be your own end user.

The Sub-Domain possibilities are endless and would cover every concieveable aspects of searches and services.

not as valuable as the plural... still a nice domain though

btw, creditcards.net site sucks... what a waste... somebody obviously has no clue what they are doing

hate seeing top domains being wasted like that :(

@owntag, I would recommend using CreditCard.net as a landing page for a particular niche of those seeking credit cards.

That way, the domain is being used as though it were the principal site, thus multiplying productivity, without driving traffic in somebody else's direction.

As for the appraised value... I don't think it would clear $100k... but I would say it's in the high $xx,xxx ($75k+)

I am in disagreement with other posters, I see it being between $100k - $250k to certain card companies and especially to the owners of that 'other extension'!

I do though think that the better mid-long term option is obviously to develop the domain yourselves.

Oh, and by the way, yes I am as jealous as hell! :eek:k:

9 figures on CreditCards.com

Interesting domain, I won't take a stab at an appraisal but my strategy would be to wait for an end user to contact you.
i.e Banks, great domain for TV ads, easier to remember than e.g. MyCreditCard.com
