What do you recommend for background & criminal check websites?

Pros & Cons & Fees.

I prefer a yearly membership as I will do this very often.

Thanks,
John

It really depends on what you want and what the record checks are for...all services on the cheap are just that and may not be able to be relied on. Full criminal record checks do not fully exist online to consumers...most of the automated services simply check the federal criminal databases...actually a pretty weak search.

I have a partnership relationship with USSearch.com for one of my websites...It is decent for a cursory check, but I would not rely on it fully...to many - a cursory check is enough though....so you may want to check them out.

You may do better by searching the local court records yourself (which you can do online in most jurisdictions). Let me know what areas you are looking for and I can send you the link to the court records (if it exists in the particular area).

If you want a service that is the best and you have a permissible purpose for conducting the background checks...I can give you info on a much more inclusive service. It is what professional investigators and lawfirms use...there are associated credentialing costs and monthly minimums...but if you are having to do lots of checks...it is very much worth it.

My firm conducts background investigations on a large scale and doing it right can be expensive.

it's been a while, but I used www.URAPI.com before.

There is also a cool site called www.FreelanceSecurity.com that's pretty sweet.

Used them both.

I've also used the typical people search tools also available at a cost, but the above two are unique to some extent.

Haven't use either in a few years. Would be neat to know how you fare.
