If I have my own avatar how do I get it posted? Do I have to buy the "change avatar" from the store for my own avatar? And what is the max size for an avatar? and file type?

Yes you have to buy it.. 70x70 is size limit.
I would use a url instead of uploading one as you can change the url image on your server without having to purchase it again....

Yea I have done it on other forums.. but have not tried it on vbulletin yet.. but I would think it should work..
