Duke - it looks really good, for sure! I only question the extension AT THIS TIME. I think the ".US" has a long way to go, and in the case of "computers" may be rather limiting ... as serving ONLY the US. Just some initial thoughts. Good Luck.
Thanks Host...but rather than being a weakness, the fact that .US indicates a company serves ONLY the US is a STRENGTH when it comes to computers. No one overseas is going to order a custom computer from the U.S. - the shipping would be prohibitive. Nor are many US companies going to want to ship anything overseas unless it is paid for upfront in CASH (due to credit card fraud).
I think that the .US will be a huge positive as it will tell American shoppers right up front that they are dealing with a US based company. That can only make them more at ease in purchasing over the internet. The fact is that U.S. shoppers order virtually ALL of their goods from American companies. I am a profilic online shopper and I have never ordered from a company outside the U.S.
You are correct that the extension has a long way to go to gain recognition. However, I am confident that that recognition will be achieved just as it has for other major country codes like .de and .co.uk. As you know .de is far more popular than .net and .org already.
