Hey

I got a laptop from ebay, it just came today, there is something wrong with it, although the seller described it as working! i paid via direct bank transfer, do you think i can get a refund?

i paid about 490 British pounds for it... seems like a waste as it cant even charge! I already emailed the seller many times but no reply. He has 1,000+ feedbacks but recently he seems to have negative feedbacks with buyers unhappy with their products.

Is there any way to get a refund from direct bank transfer? :upset: i tried to get his phone no from ebay but its a mobile number clearly bs as noone even picks up the phone.

Ebay has become the home of fraudsters and lazy morons looking to steal money out of hard working people :upset:

1) whats wrong with the computer?
2) does he has squaretrade seal?
3) no one picks up the phone does not mean the the phone number is bs. Try calling in the morning and at night. There might be timezone difference.

1 - If i knew whats wrong with it i would tried to fix it :eek:k: but i have no scoobie!
2 - No
3 - perhaps, funny thing is he called me after 12 hours of the auction to make a payment asap! (odd of what?) he seemed to be on his email 24/7 before payment was sent, when i ask a question, nothing... im really cross with this guy. I will probably travel to wales if he continues to ignore my emails and give him a piece of my mind.

I have spare bullets

how much? are they compatible with this?

I would buy a laptop from ebay only if they are authorized resellers, Dell does it all the time, selling refurbished ones with warranties on ebay

Because in the shops the same laptop was 600 pounds. :uhoh:

Anyways the guy finally called me back, it seems that he sent me a powersupply without a fuse... after checking it seems he is right, now i need to wait till tomorow to buy a 5amp fuse.

I think theirs some confusion here, Did you pay the seller through Paypal by electronic check? OR did you wire the money through your bank directly to him?

Bank transfers cannot be reversed as gamefinest stated, but ACH transactions can. If you paid by Paypal, you need to file a dispute with them first.

I did it via digitalbanking (direct bank transfer)

Anyways i got it working now, i found a plug that used a 5 amp fuse and it works like a charm, what i cant work out is why he would remove the fuse and send the laptop to me without telling me!

I'm glad you got it working, because there was no way to get your money back....Whenever you buy used electronics, you need to accept the risk that goes with it....Next time you do this, pay by credit card or e-check, so you have some protection...Good luck!
