Affiliate Programs Demographic-specific Advertising?

I thought I had read somewhere that it is possible to secure affiliations in which your site collects specific demographic information (like signup for a bulletin board) and when that individual logs in, the ads are content directed toward thier demographic.

Is the list of advertisers extensive, or is it only a couple that offer it? A list would be appreciated.
