To me, "developed domain" means a domain that simply has content or useful material for a purpose specific to it. I would NOT call a domain "developed" if it simply had a directory of generic information that appears under other names owned by the same person.

IMO, "Developed" means that some type of effort has been taken to create a unique, useful and/or clear value to visitors that arrive at that name.

Some "developed" websites I've worked on:
> http://www.gadgetgirl.tv (character promotion)
> http://www.figma.com (resource site)
> http://www.defiantsouls.com (music group)

I've NOT Developed...
> http://www.messingaround.com (advertisement)
> http://www.creatorworld.com (place holder)
> http://www.hiphophive.com (default directory listing)

The amount of visitors does not factor into my understanding of whether a domain website is "developed".

Go to www.solong.com to enter into the world of quite possibly the largest collection of "undeveloped" domains on the Internet. :)

My idea of a developed domain is one which offers one or all of the following.

Information
Products
Service

This should be supported by creative and easy to use design to enhance the above.

ie. Offer some good content.

edit to add: PPC site is not a developed site.
