Hi,

What is the sentiment about buying a domain after an athletes name?

Is it morally wrong? Am I liable if i make a tribute page? Am i allowed to profit from this? Should I just contact the athlete and ask for his permission? and give it to him for free at the very worst?

What should I do?

Thanks

Nothing is wrong with developing a non-profit "fan" site. You are held liable once you start making a profit though. There are many threads on this forum that ask the same question and they all go into detail.
