A friend of my sold Dictionaries.com what price do you think would have been ok for it? Just juding of the name.

Very nice name, but it certainly doesnt come close to Dictionary.com

Just a guess but i'm sure the type in is extremely lower than the singular.

600+ ovt w/e probably most of which is due to the popularity of the singular. I'd say it's worth about 20,000 - mid xx,xxx. Plural could actually be used for dictionaries of different languages...

english.dictionaries.com
spanish.dictionaries.com

Great name, but as mentioned above, nowhere near the value of the singular.

In August of 2004 (when he sold it), $20,000 - $30,000 would have been a good price.

The dictionary business is suprisingly big. Good healthy competition involved.
To a big dictionary company this could be an invaluable name.

End-user up to 20k might be a good estimate.. investor value hard to say, but can see it going for up to 5k in a well known auction house.
