Difference between blog & yahoo groups?

1) Please clarify what is the difference between Blogs & Yahoo groups?

2) I want to share my daily activities, events ... with my company staffs (in online). Also I like to upload my daily charts (excel) in the blog.

Please suggest me which one is best.

I want it for free. ( Like google / yahoo!!??

Well I will suggest you blogfree if you want to create an blog.

Yahoo groups and blogs doesnt have a big difference imho but yahoo groups there are members who can join in so and only those who join can see your latest news but in blogs its for public everyone can read informative stuff.

For sharing daily activities i will suggest you an yahoo group as other members can share too but in blogs something informative which everyone likes to read imho.
