Buying names here, I have some difficulty going thru all the hoopla while doing a transfer and having the domain details & DNS updated....
Though I have to agree with focus you could work with any registrar in a flat 5-10 mins., that seems a lot of time to waste...

Which registrar in your opinion is the most difficult to work with for most common procedures?

In my opinion the top most candidate from the top tier seems to be Godaddy.
Any way to switch off all the extras it asks while registering/accepting a name?

Thanks !

The only interface which I consider easy to use is Namecheap.

Godaddy is bad. I also really dislike the Directi interface.

Namecheap is really good - I agree...
My Fav is Enom, but that's only because I've been using it since forever....
From the ones I use rarely, Namecheap jumps to mind for ease of use !

Unfortunately I think that the DCG's new registrar that will ultimately be at PowerWindows.com (but is actually at http://pwinc.myorderbox.com/anacreon/) has a pretty difficult interface - if you are trying to take advantage of the reseller prices. It appears that you have to create two separate accounts - a reseller account and then a sub-account for yourself to buy the domains. So far so good, but then the process of requesting a transfer gets bogged down. I gave up trying to transfer a group of .in domains, but I will try it again at some point - hopefully when it is working better.

Every new one I try has a learning curve, since no two interfaces seem to work the same way. Right now I like enom, but I recall it being difficult to learn at first. GoDaddy was fairly easy to learn, but they keep spamming you with requests to buy extra stuff that you don't want or need.

I agree Namecheap is by far the best I have ever dealt with

I don't much care for Godaddy or RegisterFly...

Out of curiosity.. what kinds of things do people care about the most in an interface? In other words, what makes the good ones good and the bad ones bad?

To me.... "user-friendly" which would also further on, mean - easily locatable links in sensible navigation, fast loading pages and minimal clicks to get a job done !

I have to agree with healingsites comments about DCG's new registrar service.
It has I believe orderboxes interface, which is not too easy, or again that's because I've not used it much....

It was difficult nevertheless.
Was about to register domains, made a deopsit into the account and then Wham, out came some once-in-a-lifetime-statement-at-a-registrar and I just moved on....

Hope this feedback though undetailed helps DCG.

I personally feel RegisterFly is pretty good. GoDaddy's process is more time consuming but it's not too bad. It's a more secure process.

Directi interface is the worst among what i tried (I like their price though).
It does not allow a domain to be registered under a reseller's account,
but only under a customer's account.
Domain registration process is not that reliable either.. Often times
I got errors while registering.
