I came accross a thread about downloadfestival2009.com on another website, they are claiming to be selling download festival tickets, stealing £135 for every ticket somebody orders, although im sure since they arent legit they will be taking much more. They have been featured on watchdog, and many other scam websites but people are still falling for it. The real site is downloadfestival.co.uk which sells the tickets through ticketmaster.
I have so far only contacted the directi reseller to see if they are willing to do anything but as of yet I have had no response, what im wondering is, do any of you know if DirectI treat phishing like godaddy? I know godaddy take the domains offline when they are reported.
This isnt anything thats effecting my business but I go this festival every year, the people there are great, and it really pisses me off that many people are being robbed. This year the tickets have sold out so people are becoming desperate and resorting to 3rd party sites.
