Anybody else get an email from Discover Card today saying that they are changing their domain from discovercard.com to discover.com?

Looks like it used to be a magazine now located at discovermagazine.com

Wonder what they paid to get their hands on that name? Surely they didn't wrangle it in WIPO?

Anybody got the low down?

Pre 2000, my friend transferred "DellHost.com" to the owners of the internet company he worked for and the next day got canned.
I'm sure there was some $$$ exchanged, but nothing but a pink slip for my buddy.
