We are proud to announce the first Meeting and Party for all members of DNF, it's a very good idea to meet and have some fun togheter.

The date is 5-6-7 June and the Hotel and food will be FREE.

There is just a rule that need to be followed that is "No Porn or Adult" related things during that days.

We already made some research and saw that there are cheap ticket airfly ( like $ 10/20) from Frankfurt, Bruxselless, London, Paris and other Major city in Europe to fly in the city where the meeting will take place, the City is "Pineto" and is 20 Minute from "Pescara" the city where the airport is.

I will have a (free) pick up service to the airport too.

There are already some member that confirmed that will come like Gregr, RJ and some others, we need you to confirm very quickly.

There will be shows entertainment in the hotel and beach too, we are also thinking on some "business" activity for domain names and we want your opinion on what to do.

From this thread we will see how many people will attend and we will set up a registration system for people committed to going.

Mike

PS: this post has been posted here as gregr suggested this.

Oh you make it sound so easy! $10 or $20 from Frankfurt, Bruxselless, London, Paris and other Major city in Europe. Let's see, then I'd just have to add on about a billion dollars to get there from Aus. (Ok that's a slight exaggeration, but it may as well be a billion dollars.)

Seriously though, if I had the dosh, I'd certainly be there - however, given that I can't even flog a name off for a measely $100 I doubt my ability to participate.

I'm sure that everyone who can, will - and if they can and they don't, then that just sucks and they're a bunch of slackarses. :)

Sounds great though ... good luck everyone who does. :D

Maybe check you Frequent Flyer Points. It is only 110,000 points return to London from Sydney.

I've got an idea for you Deb. How 'bout a Aussie DNF Party??? My philosophy is if you can't join 'em. Start your own party!

My hats off to whomever got the "DNF Party in Italy" going. I would give my left "domain" to be there---lol. Make sure you take lots of pictures!

Cheers!

This is a very kind gesture made by Mike. A three day stay at very nice hotel on the beach in Italy is unbelievable.

I for one would enjoy meeting other DNFers that I only know by text on a computer screen. I know we're mostly a bunch of geeky nerds that have the social skills of a grape. Maybe we can work on that at this gathering. :)

Please let me or Mike know if you can make the trip. If hardly anyone is going to show up, then Mike might not want to host this. I'm not speaking for Mike. It's just how I'd look at it if I was the host.

Is Pescara near a port?

No VISAS required to stay in any European country, as long as your stay is below 90 days.

I'm interested in coming as well.. it's pretty cheap to fly down to Italy from Sweden. Just don't know if my schedule allows it. Any "death date" I need to be aware of? For the decision-making, that is.

Cheers Mike and great idea :D

As you all can understand I need to know very fast as now I have all the Hotel for me but as this hotel its full since june to the end of September every year they are getting reservation every day, so I think its something that need to be decided in not more then 1 week, then you have all the time to handle the situations like work and everything else.

About Visa, beashnet is right with:
"No VISAS required to stay in any European country, as long as your stay is below 90 days."
but there are situation for example when a person doesn't have the passport and need to make it that they not give you the passport if you don't have a good reason expecially in Country like India, Russia and so on.

I wish it were like this :)

Unfortunately, for residents of many countries it is necessary to get the visa to enter Italy.
