Anyone know if this is legit, I suddenly had this pop up and without filling out the change cannot access the site. I ended up doing it or all I could do is see that frozen page. Hop its ok. Someone should have warned if it was planned.

Not sure if the Admins force-reset the passwords that are aged, but since I changed mine yesterday I don't get the prompt you mentioned. Resetting the passwords by force and having to update them in order to log in, is the best thing to do under the circumstances.

I wish GiantDomains or another Admin would confirm something like that indeed happened.

I got the same thing and I entered my password so I could change it. This was done by DNF and not the hacker, right?..

as far as i know, people didnt feel comfirtable with it. I mean sometimes even for legit names, questions were raised and the buyer had to back out because of the talk in these forums.

Social.com was stolen and it has now been returned to its rightful owner.

Yes, it's an admin thing for security.

Yikes. The hacker's (edit: cracker's) audio file is still on here ... that's very bad!!

Means DNF's backup data is corrupt - if DNF has some sense, they should take the board off-line RIGHT NOW and audit every file / db ... and reinstall every program, plug-in, etc that can't be audited, from scratch, not from backup.

I get the feeling the hacker, in a matter of speaking, still has control over this site ... why DNF would go back on-line in light of that is beyond me - definitely get the feeling that amateurs run this place ... I sincerely hope I'm mistaken and misunderstand the situation, but as of now, it's looking bad for DNF :(

Sorry Dave. I had a busy day at work. I spoke with Biggedon about my concerns. I did receive your PM but frankly, I don't trust my own shadow at this point :)

As much as I hate to say it I have to agree. Unless the server was nuked and restored from a backup before the attack its impossible to know there isn't some nasty little surprise lying hidden somewhere.
