I am working on a site and I would like to add tips/techniques on web design structure.
I am in a DreamWeaver 3 class and I am overwhelmed by the number of people in that class that due to company cutbacks or layoffs, many in this class are now tasked with maintaining their company's website.
I am working on a site that will list a host of free stuff for websites.
Some of the pages will be dedicated to:
Websafe Color Charts
Free Icons
Free Images
Open Source CMS (Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress)
Free software (Open Office, Lotus Symphony, Google Docs)
Basically the theme of the site is where to find FREE sources on the web to use in creating sites.
Thus far, from the peeks the class has seen, they love the site and love the idea of a site dedicated to free resources. For instance, tens of thousands of free icons (I know of one member who paid $499 for 6 months of access to one site), links to free software for design, planning, developing (Software normally costing $1,500) and so on.
Once completed, I'll be sure to pass along the site name and link.
In the meantime, if you have and maintain a blog regarding web design, development, tips, tricks, and techniques, please post it for review.
I will review the site and determine if it is something I (we) would be interested in using as a resource. I already know of many like Mashable, Web Monkey, etc. but I would like some member sites to be listed.
