Ok, so the iPad is out and I want one .. Badly .. ;)

The only problem is that it's not out in Norway yet and I believe it will take at least a month or two until it's launched here. So .. My only option is getting one off eBay for at least twice of what it costs or ... (this is where one of you guys come in) ..

Does anyone here (from the US) know of a place nearby where they still have iPads in stock? If so, would you do me a huge favor and buy one for me and ship it to Norway? I will of course pay for the iPad and the shipping costs in advance via PayPal or wire. I can even pay you a little extra for the hassle.

Or, if someone here already has an iPad and wants to get rid of it, I'll buy it from you for what you paid for it.

If you're up for it, please PM me and we can get it started. I really, really, really need an iPad asap! :) .. :uhoh:

Thanks! ;)

Take care that they're not geo-blocked when you get as far as hooking it up to iTunes. I have two iPhones - one is a brick as it was purchased in haste from a US source and I could never get it to work. Mind you, this might just be a carrier issue and not significant for this particular iPad which won't have the cell capability.

No worries. As you say, they're not locked to any carrier so they can be used worldwide. I need to make a US iTunes account to access the iPad apps though, but that won't be a problem. :) Thanks for the heads up!

You're welcome ;) I have a UK iTunes account and recently wanted to buy an iPhone app that's only currently available in the US, and I wasn't able to do it at all. It's a shame Apple have this lock-down policy. Maybe the gPad on Android might be less fussy.

You need to make a US account, but not only that, you will also need to use a US credit card (in this case you just set up a prepaid virtual Visa, which works perfectly). The iPad apps won't be visible in the Norwegian iTunes until the iPad is released in Norway (which will supposedly be a while).

Thanks much. Will try that. I have a US Visa card (registered to my UK address), and will try using that and an address I had when I lived in the USA ages ago. Will let you know!

That should work just fine. :)
