I could have swore on my grave that there was a very recent thread on this subject, but after searching the forum i cannot find it, soo... might as well start one

so do you Twitter? (or rather, do you tweet?)

or maybe the question by now is, does anyone here 'not' twitter? If so, why not?

I started tweeting fairly recently, and just now I discovered that my profile settings were set to private, so all this time I've been tweeting into the wind :disappointed:

i would like to follow some more dnfers, please pm your details if you'd like

how do you decide who to accept/follow and who to block?

I followed someone yesterday with a heap of followers, and this morning i had 5 new followers of my own. Two were hot chickees who tweeted "looking for cute guys to chat with, tinyurl-lkjlwker .. so i blocked them. the other three i'm not sure.

what is spam? do you follow every john and joey lunchbox 'social media marketer' who follows you?

If I hear one more sportscaster mentioning twittering, someone's getting choked out.

I tweet on three accounts, one is the exact name of a big city in Canada, one for my domain blog, and one for the town I live in. I also have a personal account I use to keep in touch with friends.

I am seeing twitter urls more and more in the media and business.

That's the thing though, it's everywhere. A few days ago I saw two sportscasters at their desk doing the telecast, and under one of the guys was his twitter url! News reporters regularly give out the twitter url of their station during the broadcast. Twitter is seeping into the mainstream more and more, so that is why I am on there.

It's not necessarily how many followers you have, EVERY post you send out can potentially be seen by every twitter user if they use the search function and the term is in your post. For example, if I do a post and have 'domain name' in my tweet, anyone searching 'domain name' will see my tweet. From there, they can click a link in my post, or go to my Twitter page and click my url there, and end up at my website. Even if you have no followers, you can get traffic back to your main site this way.
