MARCO ISLAND: Some persistent dolphins are being credited with saving a dog that had run away on Marco Island. The dog's owner said he had been missing for 15 hours before the dolphins alerted neighbors.

Great positive post. Dolphins are extremely smart animals.

We still to this day don't understand their communication methods completely, but they are highly intelligent and fascinating animals.

Great positive post. Dolphins are extremely smart animals.

They're also highly efficient pack predators.

Sorry, the dolphins splashing wasn't to alert the humans, chances are it was hunting. At least the results were positive.

We still to this day don't understand their communication methods completely, but they are highly intelligent and fascinating animals.

That's mainly because until recently we (humans) considered communication as something vocal. Only until recently did people who study this also take in account body language (saldy how it is always in front of us - literally).
