Domain Appraisals

Just a bit of a whinge here about the lack of appraisals i or most people get.

I try my best to provide whatever benefits i can, especially in the expired area.

But when i post a name ive bought and ask for an appraisal, I get "fresh air" not even "its worthless $0"

What probably compounds my negative thoughts is the fact i actually paid to get access to these type of forums.

Dont know what can be done, if anything, this is just a note of some dissapointment.

If you get a nil response to an Appraisal request, assume it is a polite way for saying that your DN is worth sfa

There is only one really accurate appraisal anyway.....
It is called the For Sale area.

One of the reasons i rarely add a name for appraisal is becuase of the lack of responces and the attitude of most people appraising

i personally do not understand it
is it becuase its not sex.com?
or becuase people dont know how to appraise domains
and post basicly what they will pay for it

i think in most cases its the second one

As for the "sale area" being an acccurate appraisal, you probably hit the nail right on the head there.

This has been the third such thread about this & nothing has been done.

In both the other threads, it was suggested to offer 5 DNF per post if you make a reply in the appraisal section... DCG or not any of the mods have made a comment on that.

On another note... the "Professional Appraisal" area is going to stay locked forever?

Crap has been sold for $10k plus and Dick.com was sold for $100 (I believe).


It depeds who the buyer is and how much they want it and thier budget.

And how much knowlege the reseller has.

It is impossible to appraise domains at an accurate enduser value.

There is no such thing.

Make that 3 threads where this has not been addressed by an admin or mod.
