nice idea for a post:

Overture - I miss how simple it was and the information it gave
I miss - the two month period before the .ca landrush in 2000
I miss - the early 2000's when there were way less websites and it was easier to make affiliate program commissions
I miss - all the LLN.com's listed on the Afternic bazaar for $20 each (and less)

I miss how easy it was to get to the top of search engines. Now everyone wants to compete and it will probably get worse.

I miss domainers asking ridiculous prices for their mediocre names.

Ohhh wait.

I miss the days when today's heavy hitters posted a lot at forums (but most no longer or rarely post, or have their own blogs now).

Miss the days when forum sale threads were in the minority vs today with vast majority being sales threads.

Miss the time when 700k names such as runningshoes.com were posted for sale at dnf for low 3 figures.

The free Overture Suggestion Tool (for easily finding tyoein names with extension added, which research is much more difficult and unreliable today).
