Domain name involving a US senator

Lets say someone owns the domain name of a US senator. Can someone explain any type of legal issues that could arise from hosting the domain with ads, selling the domain to said senator, having a 3rd party be a broker for the site to sell it for the highest price, etc.

Need some good advice...
