Hello, I need help. I received a email from Goadaddy:

It has come to our attention that a domain name you have registered is infringing
upon one or more of GoDaddy.com trademarks.

As you may be aware, GoDaddy.com is a registered trademark of GoDaddy.com. We are
writing as a courtesy to inform you that your use of the term "GoDaddy" in your
domain name or a domain name that is substantially the same or confusingly similar
to the "GoDaddy" mark is likely to cause confusion in the marketplace and would
therefore likely be construed as a violation of the GoDaddy.com trademark.

As a result, we would like to reimburse you for your purchase of this domain and
transfer the domain into our control.

Please transfer the domain name to GoDaddy within 10 calendar days. The
registrant fields should read as follows:
......

What can I do now? Need I transfer the domain to Godaddy?

Thanks in advance!

You understand and agree that all content and materials contained in this Agreement, other policies, the Go Daddy Web site, and any affiliated Web sites, are protected by the various copyright, patent, trademark, service mark and trade secret laws of the United States, as well as any other applicable proprietary rights and laws, and that Go Daddy or its licensor expressly reserves its rights in and to all such content and materials. You further understand and agree that You are prohibited from using, in any manner whatsoever, any of the content or materials described above without the express written permission of Go Daddy or its licensor.

Moral lesson: never register a domain name bearing the registrar's trademark
with the registrar itself. Every registrar reserves that right.

I doubt they'll let you transfer the domain name to another registrar, so next
best thing is probably to do what they say and get your money back.

It is Godaddy*****.com
Well if it is something like Godaddysucks.com, Godaddyisshit.com or so you might have a shot.

No, at another company.

I can't get my money back, because the domain is not registered at Godaddy.

GODADDYHOSTINGS.COM , this is the domain name. I think I need to transfer it to GODADDY now

I see I judged prematurely. My apologies.

In any case, transfer it to them. They're fully prepared to dispute it if you go
against their wishes, and they're at least willing to reimburse you as they say.

a good part of their business happens to be hosting, as much as i dislike godaddy i believe you should give that to them, and let them keep the reg fee. My comment above wouldnt have been made if i knew it were 'hosting(s)' as the second word. with the xxxxx i easily assumed 'sucks' :)
