garyted51 - is this your ENTIRE domain portfolio? Have you posted these names for appraisal?? I guess I'm truly concerned on two fronts. One, if this is your entire portfolio I think you should consider another hobby. Two, if you're looking for appraisals you should perhaps ask for one at a time. Other than that, I hope I've saved you a lot of time, energy, and heartache ... not to mention money. You deserve better! I mean that. Merry & Good Luck.

79 names = around $500 to $800 per year in registration/renewal charges. For the same price, you can get 1 or 2 good names, that would be worth more than the entire lot.

Someone asked me for the list, that's all. I have approx. 30 more names, but don't display them for appraisal. I am working negotiating final price, on several of them. I don't want to jeprodize the sales process, by posting them.

"Someone asked me for the list, that's all."

Fair enough ... it sort of rings a bell, actually.

"I have approx. 30 more names, but don't display them for appraisal. I am working negotiating final price, on several of them. I don't want to jeprodize the sales process, by posting them."

Ummm ... Ok! By "several", do you mean that you are currently in negotiations to sell, say, 6 or 7 domains? You don't want to display those 6 or 7 for fear of jeopardizing their respective sales' processes? True? If so, could you please post the other 23-24 domains so that we can accurately assess the entire situation? Remember, we're here to help you Garyted! Please let us know. Good Luck.

I have sold a couple names at www.nicexpress.com. You can list them for free there. nothing like afternic or greatdomains. they are scammers in my opinion.

Good for you, really! :)

But could you now please address the REAL question? That is, as posted above, "By "several", do you mean that you are currently in negotiations to sell, say, 6 or 7 domains? You don't want to display those 6 or 7 for fear of jeopardizing their respective sales' processes? True? If so, could you please post the other 23-24 domains so that we can accurately assess the entire situation?"

Thank you, we look forward to your reply.

"Leave this scene and get a real job? LOL"

Ummm ... sort of like that! :)
Actually, I meant that had we all POSTED all of our domains in the way that you described, many of us (including Garyted, me, and presumably you and a boatload of others) could have saved, or would save, a lot of money. That's more what I meant, though you weren't far off. LMAO. Thanks and Merry and Good Luck! :)

PS. Did you notice that Garyted hasn't yet acknowledged my query? Geez, and here we were trying to help.

Poodle? 'Ho? I dunno exactly, but I'm getting the distinct feeling that I'm not gunna get an answer to this rather easy question. If I were to set-up a Paypal account and request that he send me $1 for every (poor) domain that he is about to register, I'd be a very rich person! At least he's never going to have to worry about "escrow" ... for Goodness sake! :)

CoolHost, it seems like you are being going a bit too far with your posts about the quality of his list. Perhaps you have some type of personal dispute with him. I don't know if you do or not but would not be surprised if so.

If I posted so much about everyone's portfolio quality I would have a war going with half the members here!

garyted51: Keep at it! These are not as bad as some FS lists I’ve seen on this board. We ALL reg crappy domains at one time or another. ;)

:( On the contrary! Truly. Garyted has posted many, many names in the very recent days/hours, and I (and many others I might add) have tried to give him honest appraisals. The fact is, though, it's been difficult of late to get out of the honest-to-Goodness $0-$25 range on appraisals for his recent domains.
Beyond that, he appears to be ASKING FOR ADVICE and actively seeking honest input. In that vein, I'm simply offering a suggestion that at this time he may wish to step back a bit, possibly re-energize or reinvent his domain-selection criterion.
I surely hope he hasn't taken it as you've described ... heck, I think I'm potentially saving him a LOT of money and heartache.
But, listen, one person's trash is another person's treasure ... I realize this! It's an "appraisal" section, I'm just trying to offer an honest appraisal in the end. K? Really. Merry merry :)

PS. If you scroll thru the recent posts, you will notice that I have NEVER assigned a dollar value to any of Garyted's names. He has actively sought advice. I have attempted to provide him with such. But who am I? Who are any of us? That's why we're here.

Garyted - I know you probably don't wish to have anyone speak for you (I wouldn't), so I'd just like to ask you - Have I been a useful, honest resource here in reviewing your selections for "appraisal"? Or, have I misread your queries and been an over-bearing Scrooge? :)
Some input from you would be most welcome. Thanks.

Garyted, you have a few nice names. Good luck with your pending sales. Nevermind those who tell you "we are here to help you...", you don't need help if you are selling names...you are doing something right!
