Just found this on Ebay :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11153&item=5720360085&rd=1

"This auction is for a document that has information on where each and every individual can get Domain Names Registered at a legit Registrar for only $5.99 a year. No strange fees, hidden charges, down payemnts, deposits, or minimums. Purchase only one domain name, and it is $5.99/year. The $5.99/year sale is NORMAL PRICE, and does not go up. This auction is for the information on where to find this great deal, not for any domain names themselves."

Can someone shed morelight on this ?

A name only account is useful when all you want to do is register a domain and hold it for future use. There are no services like email or URL forwarding. For the difference in price, I can't see any advantage to it.

What is a 'Name Only' account?
A Name Only account is different than your current eNom reseller account. In Name Only you register a domain name and park it with eNom (on our DNS only). No other domain services are provided.

It's a great program for resellers that buy on speculation, you don't have to pay to activate it until you are ready to use it or sell the domain. A Name Only account is also perfect for purchasing defensive domain name registrations or registering your new ideas at a very low cost.

All the other services eNom has to offer including domain name management, DNS, URL redirection, email forwarding, a free templated web site builder, Name-Your-Phone, and Name-Your-Computer, are not available in a Name Only account, until you activate the Domain name(s) for a $3.99 fee per remaining year.

You must have an eNom reseller account to open a Name Only account. For additional details and a reseller agreement, please email our sales group directly at: [email protected]

If you don't have a reseller account, I'll be happy to create one for you.
