Well - I think it is a good idea - I have some questions on the introduction:

-how come this is bundled with a trade show? (not a stand alone event)
-why has someone from the new assoc posted in DNForum (we have a big .CA section)
-why Niagara Falls? (majority are in Vancouver then TO)

Most of the .CA holders also have .COM portfolios - so why do we have to hear about this from a third party event

Great idea although I have a hard time with the partiality of one of the biggest domain name holder in Canada starting it. He stands to benefit more and of course if he charges for membership, it is a total farce. My 2 cents...

Has the DOAC in fact been formed?
The domain (doac.ca) appears to be nothing more than a form to a listserv.
I'd be interested in seeing their mission statement if one exists.
