Domain Portfolio Script

Does anyone use any script to maintain your portfolio instead of using Excel?
To keep track of:
- Name
- Expiration date
- DNS
- Buying info (from, date, amount)
- Selling info (to, date, amount)
etc..

DomainPortfolio.us offers a free portfolio script, but it really only lets you set up a basic marketplace for your domains.

At the moment, I'm stuck with Excel, too. :/

I am not talking about selling the names. This is just for us to keep track of the names.
Automatically pull the expiration date and DNS.
You can get everything from the registrar (in bulk) but for DNS you have to check one by one. It is a pain if you have thousand of names.

Domaintools.com has the domainmonitor which is good. But it doesn't have a place to put in bought and sold data. I use the comment box for that. maybe if we ask them to add that to there system.

I haven't seen one but I'm dying for one myself as I'm also stuck with Excel. I have plans to make one with PHP/MYSQL but my personal projects get put on hold often because of client work. Maybe someone will come along and script one for us. So my answer is: eventually!

- Your service is not advertised - "nobody" knows it exist.
- People may be reluctant to post their domain list in a service owned by a company they don't know and/or trust.
Privacy and safety is king for this type of service.

My thinking was no-one can be bothered to look at the post, either they dont need it, or dont care. Thus I am quite happy admiring my programming, and managing my portfolio with ease whilst everyone else struggles.

How you keep the data, on a flat file or database?

Yes - this is a program for Win 98 through Vista. Installs with icon on your desktop - uninstalls with your Windows uninstall utility. Follow instructions for downloading and installation.

All data is stored in database tables. You can create reports that you can copy/paste as text to another file outside the program such as notepad.
