I learned from Afilias that expired .info domains must be put (initiated) into the delete cycle by the hosting registrar. However, the hosting registrar in question has no active website and does not respond to email. I notify Afilias of this who, in their superior customer service fashion, write me back with the same canned response about needing to contact the registrar of record. It seems logical, and necessary, that the registry push the deletion (accept responsibility) if the registrar will not do it.
Meanwhile, the domain is expired yet unavailable for re-registration. And it is not a sunrise TM name.
