Does anyone have a spreadsheet template for keeping track of domains that they would be willing to share?

I am willing to donate F$ (although i don't have much) or possibly even barter for a domain.

Well, in case he doesn't ask, who's got a database that can be shared?

Yes, I get that and I'm sure he does too, but my problem comes into play when I get names on a drop and they register them in obscure registrars. Makes it easy to lose track of them. 99% of my names are at Moniker and that spreadsheet is enough for me. It's the few loose ones out there caught in snaps, stuck in the 90 waiting period, and I potentially forget about them. How bout' you HomerJ.

Both spreadsheets and data bases are too complex and tedious to use and error prone too.

The best way to track your domains is to buy Watch My Domains Pro from Softnik Technologies. It is really invaluable.

You can also do automated whois and dns checks by letting it run overnight to keep track of your expirations, etc.

I have been using it for many yrs and never a bug or issue.

A database is better but an excel sheet is OK, as long as you keep it up to date.
It's not hard to do actually, you just need a few fields.
Here's an example which computes the registration days leftbased on expiry date:

I tried another of their products "Domain Punch"
Know the difference off hand?

what i want is a centralized place to not only manage domains, sort by expirations and registrars, etc, .. i also want to be able to manage data such as how much i paid for the domain; how much did i sell it for; at what date it was sold; to who it was sold; how much revenue did it generate; what was the profit margin; and the ability to add and calculate additional data as i see fit. and of course the ability to sort the data by any of these categories.

Your best bet would be to make an Excel spreadsheet. It wouldn't take that long.

*edit* Give me a little time (hour or so) I'll see if I can whip something up.

right, i just figured if someone already has one they are willing to share it would save me the time, for which i am willing to compensate, albeit with F$ and/or a domain that might be 'someone elses treasure' :D

I have a basic thrown together, but I can't get the conditional formatting to work.

Yellow - 60-90 days to renewal
Orange - 30-60 days to renewal
Red <30 days to renewal

edit:
I got it working. I'll go over it w/ the OP (PM sent) and see what he thinks, maybe I'll offer it to the forum. :)

I've made a basic spreadsheet. Nothing great (really basic).

The renewal date will be:
Yellow if it is between 61 and 90 days to the expiration date,
Orange if it is between 31 and 60 days
Red if it is less than 30 days

Also, the "profit" field:
Green = profit
Yellow = Brake even
Red = Loss

PM me your email if you'd like to see a copy (To keep distribution small, I'll only send out 5)
