Nope because their secrets is what defines their success or failure. People who sell their eBooks on the secrets are only selling old secrets which are common knowledge now ($40 on a "how to register domains with GoDaddy" eBook??).

Their are no secrets in Domaining, all you need is MONEY - LOTS OF CASH to buy generic domains and resell them 2-5 years.

Their was secrets involved in the early days, when everyone purchased TM .com's and re-sold them to the TM Holders.

In todays market, SEARCH ENGINES (GOOGLE) is winning the WAR - Domains are loosing the battle!

It's awful that users (98.99%) use google for every search - that includes the domain name itself! I tell my friend to visit *****.com directly and he opens google first and types the .com in the search field.....

Everything has already been exposed online and it's not hard to find what Domaining is about and what it takes to make money!

Same here. My entire family does that too. In fact, I also do that a lot.

Published data about the percentage of direct navigation typeins is actually severely understated because search box url typeins are as good as browser window typeins but they count as regular searches.

There is another issue going on, too:

When a domain isn't registered your ISP routes you to THEIR search results page form Google (Adsense). Two issues with this:

1) This means they can block whoever they want claiming that the domain doesn't resolved
2) You CANNOT opt out. I've tried with Comcast and even though they say that I can, I have not been able to yet, even though I go though all the motions.

Its coming to the point where direct navigation doesn't work anymore.

We always have our own unique ways of success, and we never share them out. Because we are all partners, sellers, buyers, and competitors too. These secrets come with a price tag. Try ask Rick for the complete steps and negotiation for selling candy.com, the time control, the words he used, the format and medium of communication, the counter-offers he initiated, the stats he produced, and expect zero reply. It is obvious.

Why would you share your secrets anyway? You won't do that, unless you gain something from it or you don't care anymore (it won't hurt you).

But if your "secrets" will be useful for your "competitors" and make them stronger in competing with you, I don't see why anyone in their right mind would.

Domaining is all about being at the right place at the right time and that's no secret.

Yep defo i just picked up a one word generic for $5k although at first i thought they had missed a zero of it so i had to ask again then i snapped it up ;-) couldn't believe it.......i think it fell into "the right place at the right time" category.

Yup, stuff like that, exactly! Feels like winning the lottery doesn't it? :)

Congrats btw, feel free to PM me the name if the transaction is done.

Wrong. Know-how is a key factor of success (not simply "being present") in this industry, like many others. Money only is not enough.

Knowing that domaining isn't the only way to make a serious (xxx% or higher) ROI online is also pretty useful.

Not a domaining secret, but still sort of relevant :p

i will tell some secrets, but not in plain language

you will have to read "in-between the lines" to get the message

most don't tell secrets, because most people don't even take regular advice...

so they figure why share in-depth knowledge

often frustration sets in when you see newbs or even some older members ask the same questions over and over

and if you see a member who has been "brainwashed or blog-washed", then there is no hope of "enlightening" that person because they are "stuck on stupid" :)

you will have to wait until they see the light for themselves, before they are open to re-education

there are also those who only listen to certain members, they hang on every word and follow like lemmings

and there are those who listen to no one, they follow their own path, march to their own beat

the secrets are out there, but you gotta read to find them

imo...

In the business that I'm in, there are indeed secrets. But I try to help newbies out with basic stuff that they can find out anyway. It's good for public relations.
