Domaining is simply the best opportunity out there. This is just my opinion and I may not have this all exactly correct but the opportunity that "domaining" presents is literally unprecedented.
Can you spell "gold rush?"
I like to call domain names "online property." And for an amazing small amount, one can quickly amass an empire - A virtual online property empire. Have an extra $70? I say - jump right in and purchase 10 domain names (first though, I'd think a little bit about the names to choose). They will be registered & exclusively yours. The upside of this industry is simply amazing (I believe "beyond belief"). I like to think they are similar to having just purchased 10 condominiums, without the headaches. Note though I think having a plan (& perhaps some industry knowledge) is most beneficial. But it is better to try and fail than to have never tried at all.
Obviously, the Internet is still taking off - small, hand-held, utra thin, super powerful computers are soon to be reality and commonplace. And those that hold the valuable addresses, domain names, will be richly rewarded. Why would someone open a "brick and mortar" store down on Main St. or in the mall with all the associated costs (building, fixtures, rent, utilities, personnel, etc) when an Internet site is a fraction of the cost and will open the business up to the world. Literally.
This is still a ground floor opportunity. And while our numbers are growing, the Internet is limitless.
"The world is our oyster" - William Shakespeare
Those of us who have chosen to be Domainers are winners. If not today, then most certainly tomorrow.
