About 4-5 years ago I purchased a bunch of 2010 olympic domains,
Two of which were 2010olympicmania.com and 2010olympicfever.com
There was another, but ive forgotten.
A few months after the purchase i received an email from the Olympic commity lawyers. The email stated that I must transfer the domains to them immediately or I will be subjected to court of law due to infringement on the "Olympic" trademark. At the end of the letter it said that i must not contact any person, and this issue must be kept silent. I then immediately posted the whole letter on a domain discussion forum..(damn i wish i knew which one it was) The people on the forum helped greatly and gave some advice.
After exchanging emails back and forth.. I uploaded all our conversations to the forum. After researching legalities and trademarking I decided to hand the olympic domains to them. They gave me $50 and that was that. People on the forum said I should have fought it. I just didn't need the hassle and stress so i gave in to that megalith organization.
A few months later I saw an article in the Vancouver Sun newspaper talking about Olympic trademarking.. they didn't mention my incident but im sure it contributed to the reason of the article.
Sooo.... fast forward to today. I looked up 2010olympicfever.com and it seems it was purchased on July 28 2008. Look at all the 2010olympic domains that were purchased.

I typed in 2010olympicmania.com and it brings you to the 2010olympic main site. What a F'in Joke. I feel like ive been had by these guys. I think my naiveness got the best of me 5 years ago.
If anyone finds those old posts in that domain forum could you post the address on this thread. I have a feeling they are gone.. but who knows.
