I placed two SnapBacks with DomainSnaps.com last night, however neither of them showed the SnapBacks as being "taken" until this morning.

In the past I've used SnapNames and Snaps.com and the SnapBacks were no longer available immediately after I submitted payment.

I was just wondering if I'm leaving a window of opportunity open for others to grab my SnapBacks if I use DomainSnaps.com since there seems to be a delay in registering the snaps.

Also, this morning, only one of the two SnapBacks show up in my account with DomainSnaps.com.

I'm not complaining about their service, as I've had no real problem yet. I'm just curious if I have something to worry about.

I had the same problem.

6 hours after placing the Domain Snap, I discovered the name not covered so I immediately went to snaps.com. And, got it at Gregr's site.

I'll continue to use them. But, with caution.

But, I understand that saganame.com is going to offer snaps soon. Knowing Gary's thoroughness. You will be happy there.

Now, I'm concerned.

One of the domains I snapped with them had a snap on it up until yesterday. This morning it is not showing in my account, but the snap is taken. I sure hope someone didn't swoop in and get it while my order was processing. I emailed domainsnaps' support, and I'm waiting for a reply.

I think I'll be using Snaps.com from now on. It's $4 dollars more, but those few hours that the snap is left available are crucial in this business.

My recommendation is to use Snaps.com. Even when you pay PAYPAL the snap is taken almost immediately. I have checked every single time. I have no experience with domain snaps.

Hi DCG,

I just sent you an email to that address.

What is fixed, exactly? Will the domains be snapped right away from now on?

The domain I was concerned about is still not showing in my account, unfortunately.

Thanks for your replies.

It appears someone else did get the snap in those few hours. :sigh:

Oh well, I've learned my lesson.
