Well, we all know that now DS pays more if the traffic is converting to sale.
My question is - Are they doing this per domain or per account ? I mean, if I have some crappy traffic names and some high quality traffic names - are the crappy ones going to bring down the revenues from the high quality domains, or is it "every domain for itself" ?

Thanks

From what it appears, it is every domain individually. Actually my low earners, have now become my high earners, and some what vice versa.

I contacted Domain Sponsor Regarding this a week or two back...

My Questions

I was reading you "Rewarding Traffic Quality" announcement and have a
two questions.

"we have developed greater insight into the performance of each
individual publisher's traffic stream. We can now more accurately gauge
the quality (backend sales conversion) of your specific traffic and
compensate you accordingly."

Is this worked out on a per domain basis or on the publisher's traffic
quality as a whole?

Example:

Say I had the following in my account...

1.Poorqualitytrafficdomain.com
2.Topqualitytrafficdomain.com
3.Poorqualitytrafficdomain.com

Would the revenue I receive for "Topqualitydomain.com" suffer because I
also have two poor quality traffic names?

Does your system favour generic names e.g. loans.com over typos e.g.
laons.com, or is it based purely on the quality of the traffic and how
it converts and the actual name doesn't matter one iota? Could, theoretically, assuming traffic level, quality and conversions been
equal djdkdj8dd.com earn the same amount as genericname.com or would genericname.com always earn more regardless?

Answer

Regarding your first question, it is worked out on a per domain basis.
Per your example, revenue that you could receive for "Topqualitydomain.com"
would not suffer due to your two poor quality traffic names.

In regards to your second question, our system is purely based on the
quality of the traffic and how it converts. In our testing, we have
seen that generic names tend to perform better, but it still boils down
to how the traffic converts.

Hopefully I have answered your questions. If you have any others please
let me know.

Hope this helps :)
