When searching for that 'hot' domain, and to your utter disbelief, you find it free! Make sure that you have instant payment enabled -- otherwise; there some 'vampires' out there who somehow 'sniff' your search, and next time you search for it, it's gone! It has happened to me, more than once; and wonder that this could be just 'sheer coincidence'.
