Maybe the title will cause a few gold members to upgrade :)

I like this forum a lot... Through this forum I've networked with so many people. Was able to do business with people on the other side of the world. Learned how to register a domain name, find available domain names, find expired names, catch names the second they become available...

Coming into this forum, network and business blindly, with no money; I've managed to learn an amount of information, which I feel exceeds that of which a student attending a 2-4 year school would learn. and I'm pretty sure I can speak for a lot of you as well.

I came in, not knowing how to register a domain name about 3 years ago. Now I'm running a portfolio and just finished my first informational adsense site. :) I learned it all here... Through thousands of people, reflecting thoughts, questions, answers, comments, advice, examples, hints, tips, tricks and everything else you can possibly imagine.

I feel like this forum is going though a bit of a restore mode. Everything changes; and the way we are as humas, we are going to disagree, and argue. But lets not let that interfere with someone thats wanting help or wanting to help.

This network has the capabilities of being far more powerful in terms of interaction then what we see right now.

Ive been seeing a lot of good threads; good questions, and good advice, that just become trashed. Good Topics all too often change, or the focus of the thread changes to a few individuals...

I really think it would be a good idea to use the network that we have to do business wide-scale. We have a lot of people, a lot of specialties, and a lot of knowledge within thousands of different fields.

I might be thinking too big, but would like to hear other opinions.

great post with some fine points. we should all post our primary professions (if not domaining) in our profiles. If I know you're a lawyer, or website designer, or even a bus driver in France; who knows, I may have to hit you up with some questions :)

Ou est le Louvre ?

Well Andrew.... When I entered DNF community I thought it's very special and different from other domain related forums.

Now I'm no longer sure about it ....

Luke, there will always be people out of line... At the end of the day, you know who those people are. You have to keep in mind that the majority of the people here are not like that. Dont let a few out of line people ruin your ideas or visions of yourself or of this forum.

Unfortunately, Ive seen two main things. Our biggest issue here on the board are pro and anti extention battles, mainly .mobi. Another downfall I see.. Are seasoned members who have somewhere along the lines decided to become hateful and abusive. Members look up to those that have been here longer...

Threads all too often turn into a who's right, but when the thread is left trashed, and abandoned it defeats the purpose of starting a serious post to begin with.

Sometimes we come face to face with a decision, and in some cases the decisions that we make cant be changed. Sometimes its too late to turn it all around. In this case, its not. This forum is whatever we make of it.
