I agree, biz for business looks funny, especially as a TLD, .biz. That's why the extension is the least favorite of the TLDs, in my opinion.

Using the term biz doesn't look professional either.
Just my 2 cents.

Nice try GD! :D Biz looks about as funny as www.show.biz!

I think as more sponsored TLD's roll out the "redundancy effect" will take place:

BlackHillsTravel.com as opposed to BlackHills.travel

BioMedHealth.com as opposed to BioMed.Health

PowerHouseBiz.com as opposed to PowerHouse.biz

I'm not saying that any proposed new name is better than another, especially since dot com is the most well known, however as these other names become familiar there will be that "Gee why don't they have the .biz"??

Hey, you started it! lol.

Show.biz is undeveloped, I guess someone else thinks it looks funny. Showbiz is a coined term, and showbiz.com would be great, but not sure why you think show.biz would be.

If I ever was to register a *****.BIZ, I'd get the corresponding *****Biz.com ... if that makes sense. Same with .INFO/.US, as well ... I would imagine.
Good Luck.

I pre-ordered Show.Biz, Music.Biz and a few other BIZs.

Glad I didn't do those pre-order-trademark claim things at $100 a time. So many people lost their $100 and the domains all ended up in the lottery!

Sooner or later, I believe the TLD .biz will justify the biz term, it's the cyberspace we are talking about, not a literature textbook, most non-English speaking people have taken biz for business already. JMHO.
