DropBox, a service to share uploaded files, used GetDropBox.com as their domain. Looks as if the owner of dropbox.com started to park the domain and in the end lost it over TM issues.

Goes to show if you build a great service then your generic domain could be in great jeopardy if parked (which i think is a load of crap).
