it is a nice domain, but why do they need it? (more than anybody else)
try Google "DRT"

you obviously did not see the last 3 months sales of LLL.com ?

I didn't say it wasn't worth it, but $20,000 is a lot to any business, especially a small business. At $130 a pop, that's 154 DRTs that would need to be sold just to break even (80 if he sells them at the full price of $250).

I'm sure they'd make up for it in sales with a good amount of type in traffic (it is the perfect domain for them) but the question is would he have the money up front to purchase it and would he make back the money fast enough to make it worthwhile?

Edit:

That $20K is below the reserve, too (and we don't know where the reserve is).

@Dragger

1) yes Luc would have that cash
2) Its also an investment .. not just "dead" money ... he could flip in a year at a profit .
3) it would be great vanity domain for his software , and may actually add sales ... ie would pay for itself over a period ( IMO ).... ie if he sold 1 extra copy of DRT a week @$250 it would have paid for itself in 80 weeks ( assuming $20k, but will sell for more ) ...

Basically if he bought this domain name he would acually be doing him self a favor. He can acually raise the value of his business and create more sales. Also have alot more buzz about his tools because of the sale. If he stops the business he can sell the software and the domain name well over $100,000k

nah, 20k is pretty good for this one. It won't go below 19k if sold on the forum here itself. So if Luc makes 5 sales of $250 each in one week, then sells it here the following week for 19k, he would've still made a profit of $250

4 of these are words, so they don't count.

Most end user LLL.com sales really don't go reported. An NDA is usually signed

I can tell you I bought dcg.com and dnf.com and they are also unreported.

On topic, expect drt.com to sell for 30k+.

To me they were priceless.

I used to own this domain back in the day , and I can tell you the current seller has paid more than the current bid level, Like Adam I believe in todays market this is at least a 30k domain

This name will sell for a minimum of 40-50k simply because of large popularity among domainers - a lot of bidders will boost it up, hopefully Luc grabs it :)
