I've been using DRT for a long time. Recently I've been having trouble accessing results on Google TP. I have been using proxies for most of my searches, but under the proxy settings, Google TP is not one of the options you can scan using proxies. What would cause this problem? Usually after a few mins, the Google TP results just time-out and I get no results. One out of three or so domains will successfully return the Google TP results. When I personally visit Google.com, I have no problems getting results.

Any ideas?

Joe,

You must be using an outdated version of DRT. Proxy settings does have a Google Term Rank (term rank/term popularity mean the same) option.

Likely all your proxies are dead, or they are banned from Google. This is likely to be the case if you've been hitting google a lot with the same proxies. Eventually they blacklist them, especially if others start using them as well.

I just checked about 20 names for Google TP only and all showed just fine so maybe it's your old version or maybe your proxies are dead.

If you need further help just shoot me a PM.

Thanks,
Luc L

Thanks Luc and jdk for your replies. I'm still having the same problems after loading new proxies. Luc, I may shoot you a pm.

Ok, so I disabled Google TP scanning in both scan settings and proxy settings. I also reset the program (closed and re-opened it). Now when I scan, it is still trying to find the Google TP on each domain (which it tries to get up to 20 times!). What's going on? It looks like it's doing it's own thing...I have no control over it.

ok one new update...I seem to have been able to stop DRT from scanning Google TP by unchecking the "recognize words within domains" option. I have no idea why as I thought DRT used a dictionary file to find words (not google). So this will be a good temporary fix in the meantime until I figure out why my Google TP is not working. Thanks!

It occurs because you have ad checking on and ad checking requires checking google TP for terms. By disabling ad count checking, or the word parser, you will prevent DRT from checking the TPs

Luc, you ever going to think about paying affiliate commissions? Few people pissed off with this.

If you bothered to check the last post in which you complained about this, you would have noticed that your PayPal account was not receiving money.

I have tried paying you many times, and each time I received an error from paypal saying that your account cannot accept new funds at this time.

I doubt there are ANY pissed off people, as commissions have been up to date for a while now.

Notify me when your account works and I'll pay you out.

Thanks Luc, I will check this out...it makes sense. I am still having Google block my IP after about 50 scans. It makes me think that the proxies are not being used. Is it possible that DRT contacts Google from my IP for any scanning?...even when I'm using proxies. It used to work fine, this has only started in the last couple weeks.

Despite numerous PMs and emails Luc, I'm still asking you why the affiliate link you send out to people when they have a sale, returns a 404 error.
