I realize that DSS.net is a catchy name. But, I didn't think it would go for that much at Pool.

28895 wanted it more.

With past and present auction results like this, I firmly believe happy days are here again for domain name owners. But, the name has to be right.

All that bidding for 28869 & they lose it to a person who only makes one bid.

Probably elequa. I was watching this name for a while, didn't bother to bid because I knew it would go through the roof. dss is synonomous with Digital Satellite Sytems or Service in many parts of the US. Only ass would have gone higher.

Whois,

I believe you are correct. Elequa told me a couple weeks ago that he was going on vacation soon.

And, I know you and Elequa are good friends. So, you would know better than anyone.

In the U.S. we call it - Social Security Admin.

But, in most states in the U.S., there is a state agency called
Dept. of Social Services.

However, a business use is the only way to justify the cost for
DSS.net for $ 7,000.

Also, I have noticed that BD usually only places one bid. And, that is at the last minute. With an extremely high bid price.

As said before,

DSS is VERY popular in the sattelite market (espacially the illegal sat market).

I think Adam (DCG) would know about this considering he use to own a sattelite store is CAN.

Well, the new owner of DSS.net has stepped forward. And, it may come as a surprise who the new owner is. Plus, the owners
"new" name!

bulletproofpunk.com
4200 Wisconsin Avenue _106-190
Washington, DC 20016-2143
US (UNITED STATES)

And, in case you don't recognize the name. It is BD.

What is with this new name "BulletProofPunk.com"?

Also, I posted in another thread about BD's bidding style. They generally place their one huge bid the last minute of an auction.
Like they did with DSS.net.

Looks like BD caught DSS.net for a client.

Based on the bidding, the only surprise to me would be if BD had not been involved.

Commerce, you were not suppose to "let the cat out of the bag".

Don't worry, you know Elequa will catch up quickly!

www.dss.net revealed and asking price of $8000 at buydomains as I type this. Maybe they realise they payed too much for this .net? They ususally ask more for these types of names.
