Here's a video I made to test out my trailer editing/creation capabilities. There's kind of a recent trend going on where people take the Inception trailer music and put other action movies to it. I decided to jump on board and see what I could come up with, only with a bit of a twist! Tell me what you think!

YouTube - Dumb & Dumber Trailer - Inception Style (Version 1)

YouTube - Dumb & Dumber Trailer - Inception Style (Version 2)

Personally I like the first one better. The second follows another popular trend of redubbing other movies to match the Inception trailer. I figured I'd try that out too.

If you need any video editing work done of this nature, feel free to contact me as well. I made everything in that video except for the raw footage. Definitely was a fun project!

You have some serious talent.

What software do you use? How long did the trailers take you?

I liked the first one better, audio didn't match up well with the second.

Redux - they can be great (look for the suspence one for Office Space).

I made these using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Soundbooth. The 3D work was done in Autodesk Maya. The actual editing part didn't take long at all. I probably spent the most time on the 3D intro logo animation with the city. That along with the other 3D work took several days easily between modeling, animating, rendering, tweaking, and re-rendering. The biggest time hog was rendering in 720p HD, which took several days of non-stop near 100% CPU usage on a fairly high end computer.

Done entirely on a "PC", I might add! :)
