Hi guys!

I have a question for you. Do you think that it would be a good investement to get a cheap Eproductname.com domain name? It gets low xxx,xxx exact searches per month and is an every day product.. Cheap meaning dirt cheap(xx$). The problem is it is a 2 worder and that is why i am hesitating a bit..

The E and I sales are rolling in constantly and i think that this is a good investment. What do you think? I know that .coms are the ones to get, but what about .net? Do you think they are worth anything reseller wise?

The numbers sound good, but it depends on the product and therefore on the domain in question. It's difficult to give advice without knowing the exact domain name.

Do you want to buy the .com, .net or both? Note that prices for .net domains are usually much lower than for .com domains with the same keyword. That seems to be even more the case when the domains are not purely generic (as soon as there is an "i" or "e" put before the actual keyword).

depends on why you want it

for development, to resell, or to park

e or i two word domains rarely get traffic on their own and those two word domains that do, are mostly branded sites or former sites.

if you're considering a .com for development, the product name cannot be infringing on another mark
if you're buying to resell, it may be a long wait, unless you already have potentials in mind.

if you're buying to park, i doubt if you'll see much traffic.

imo...

when you say product name, i take it you mean generic?
like bathrobes, or kitchensinks? etc

if so, yeah its a good alternative than paying an arm and a leg for other version thats prob parked anyway. for development great
also an enduser may come knocking
for $7 hard to go wrong if just buying one or 2

oh, and forget the .net
waste of time imho

I think a 2 word of these (.com) is not likely to sell for more than around $1,000, the one words are definitely a good investment
