Makes sense to me. If you own the domain, there is absolutely no problem with it being Trademarked as far as I can see, provided it is not breaking pre-existing Trademarks. The problem I and others have had is how Yahoo thought they could register Y.com when they don't own it.

'easy.com' is trademarked, not 'easyanything.com' is the way I read it. If that were so it would be unfair. Easynet.com are still there, they were objecting only to easy.com being TM'ed. It is the easy group site portal, but they do not own any quantity of ccTLd easy domains or even all generics so the word easy is still safe to use IMO.

Easy.com have a history of going after easy[anything].com. Let's hope they don't use their trademark for evil.

I understand that a lot of decisions depend on 'how the examiner is feeling' on the day. Has anyone here managed to TM a .com in the UK (apart from you Stelios) ?

I've noticed the website www.easyprotest2.com has disappeared.

It had many cases of Stelios going after easy, easi, ezi etc domains names, most owned but legitimate businesses. He threatens legal action which he looses but the cost of defending the legal action means the businesses cannot afford to defend and so sign the domain name over.
This domain hijacking is illegal in the USA.

Stelio is scum, I was ashamed to be British the day he was knighted.
