If you complete a transaction on ebay....and you don't get what you paid for...
Filing fraud with paypal...will that get you anywhere?
or will you have to contact your credit card company if it went through that?
eBay and Paypal consider many factors. The biggest factor is if the item is a tangible product. if it is not a tangible product or an electronic delivery you are ***'d out from the get go.
Also you need to know what thepaypal buyer guarntee was for the ebay listing.
Some are around $200 and others around $2000.
IF you bought an item for $300 and it had a $200 guarntee, paypal will give you back $200, and then force then lock the person out of there account until they payup to paypal, and to you the remander of the missing funds, in this case $100.
Hope that made sense.
I was the operations manager for Zoovy.com for 3 years an eCommerce development partner to ebay and paypal and have vast knowledge of the in's and out's of both companies.
let me know if you have further questions
P.S if you cant get paypal to side with you, most likely your credit card company will deny you and follow suite with paypal in most circumstances
