Ecommerce CMS?

Magento..... if you want scalability and it is feature packed.... Some of the top companies in the world use Magento and there is a reason why...

Yeah I was waiting for someone to bring up Magento. It's what I'm leaning towards. I have 0 experience with it though. Does anyone have any sites built on it? I'd love to check them out.

Damn, I JUST built a site in Magento, but I just sent client final product and took it off my server.

But, I suggest you just download it on your server or local machine with Xampp and Bitnami, and play with it a little bit. Would probably take a day or two to learn your way around.

i use oscommerce. its smaller and have less functions than magento, but for small shops maybe a good solution.

Yeah for small shops, Oscommerce or Presta will do the job.

Do you know of any good Magento designers? I would need something super professional from someone with an extensive portfolio.

Designers, not really. But, if I were you, I would just buy a good theme and have someone customize it to fit your needs.

Always heard good things about Oscommerce. Being free is pretty good too! I don't think it's just for small sites.
