a email i received when contacting a customer

Domain parkers should have their armpits
invaded by 10,000 fleas, their beds infested
by the same number of bedbugs.

Any idiot can lookup words in a dictionary
and create a domain name, working folks
actually produce websites that offer something
useful. Get a life you communist.

what do you guys say ?

Communist? So we're all working on the same project together? I don't see that at all, in fact, the opposite in most cases.

More like a confederacy, most will work with others when something threatens us as a whole.

.. and it takes someone who thinks ahead to go ahead and take that dictionary_word.com for $10. ;)

well basically this guy is unhappy about domainers securing domains for non developements. Where people like him gets left out without a good domain. But its not your fault that he couldnt secure them himself :p

Suddenly my armpits atr itchy ...

You should purposely renew the domain he wanted for 10 years and hold onto it.

I would reply back and say I have the domain you want and you're not getting it, lol.

Now you just need 9999 more prospective customers like him :D

Yup you should definitely renew the domain for 10 more years. And then give the fellow a courtesy call to thank him for opening your eyes. Now you have enough time to consider whether or not you want to develop a website.

The communist line is solid gold unintentional humor.

Reply back with "I know you are but what am I?"

The only thing he should replace is Communism with Capitilsm. That's exactly what it is. Finding ways of making money without necessarily working hard. Tell him to go to some undeveloped country and work on a farm, since that's real work. Sitting behind a computer and programming is for sissys.

a email i received when contacting a customer

Do you mean that you contacted him when trying to find an end user, or in response to his inquiry about a name? I used to think writers had it hard because of all the rejections, but I'm beginning to think domainers have it worse.

Anyway, he sounds like one sad guy - he has probably had experience of fleas and bedbugs, and possibly in a communist country.
