PayPal really sucks not because of this IPN issue but charge backs and other things, but it seems that the IPN issue has been resolved

I hope this is true. I can't stand PayPal (due to awful, "can't be bothered" customer service), however they currently hold a decent market share, hence there's no real alternative.

I am pretty sure this is a browser issue.

I had problems with Firefox 2, but when I switched to IE7 it worked fine.

I have now upgraded to Firefox 3 RC1. Haven't got around to buying anything with that yet though.

Paypal will not come to an end this way

The only way paypal will be in pressure is if everyone start withdrawing their funds from paypal.

MoneyBookers IS THE BEST ONE.

Anybody have experience integrating this with a checkout script? Does MoneyBooker's IPN require https?

Every time I hear stories like this from paypal, it makes me feel that much more pathetic for continuing to be dependent on them.

It's the back-end IPN, (Instant Payment Notification), where PayPal send server to server calls from their system to the Merchant. No browser is involved in that.

I use both PayPal and Moneybookers on a few of my sites. Moneybookers was pretty straightforward to implement.
I'm not sure if they require ssl or not, but I use it.

But Moneybookers require special approval to accept credit card payments, plus their merchant rates are pretty high, so I don't use them for that.
But I have to use PayPal too, much as I hate it, since too many customers want to use it, and refuse to use Moneybookers.

During the course of the last 5 years, I've probably been ripped off 40+ times via fraudulent PayPal chargebacks. PayPal is just terrible. And their worthless India based customer service call center... don't even get me started on that.

I have to admit, I am satisfied using paypal. The have a huge market share and unless more people start using another service, I do not see Paypal going away any time soon.

I wouldn't mind seeing Google step up and turn their Google Checkout into Google payments.

Why is that good idea? So people can make false chargeback claims when they buy domains and screw the seller (thru paypal) then when selling be protected even if you never transfered - and be protected by moneybookers - i dont get it???

I don't particularly hate Paypal though I got 6 charges back weeks ago and lost some money.

Hope we have more alternative in the future.
