people on all of the forums have been offering 6.95 $ accounts from between 80$ and 100$. 200$ is pushing it when other users on this board itself are offering it for $100.

Jeff, nice to know you have an opinion. Really very nice. Wow, you think $200 is "pushing it?"

Funny, you seem like the only one, since I have been selling about 5 a week at $200-250.

Got any more brain busters?

I watch ebay constantly and have yet to see one of these accounts go over $100. There have been standing offers for these accounts at $100 for a while here. I'd like to know who is paying over $200 for these so I can propose some of my names to them. I figure they'd pay at least $300 for 1mf.net, AT LEAST.

We should have some kind of consortium to protect everyone for sudden drop of reselling account. We should agree to sell a certain price for resellers, let say for $6.95 reseller account should be $200 initial fee. In this way, we may protect the value of domain business now and the future.

It is a good thing that enom set a standard for minimal price of domains to $8.95 at least everyone in reseller and registration business will be able to gain some profits. I've seen some business that comes and go by just dropping their price scheme to get quick money and disappear.

Just my point of view.

Good luck to all,
tw

200 is pushing it

Agree.

considering you're only paying $200 to get an account and none of it is going towards domain registration, whereas if you pay enom the $6995, you still have the $6995 to register you domain with, NONE is going to waste. If the person is to spend $200+ on a reseller account, he's probably going to register tons of names, in which case, its better off for him to go with Enom as an ETP, thats if he can afford the lump sum.

just my 2 cents

If you want to know why nobody is buying it for $200 think of price and demand. If you lower the price to 100$ the demand will go up and you'll get your cash faster.

In a short period of time, yes. But in the long term this will affect you and other domain businesses.

This is just my opinion based on my previous masteral class in information management.

I heard about 5.95 accounts

Powerpipe.com was supposed to launch a new service that was going to offer 6.00 or 5.95 domain names. I talked to the CEO several times about this. It was due out in September, but I have not seen anything about it. . . It WAS supposed to be:

www.zombio.com

Anybody know anything about this?

Powerpipe was going to offer enom "name only" (NO DNS) domains for the same price as enom, $5.99...and they were going to profit when the domain was upgraded to a dns domain name($3.99 at enom) by charging more than $3.99, or more than their bulk price.

I believe the deal fell through.
